Our China comes in a variety of patterns and from different china factories.

The delivered items must be checked and signed for and the recipient will then be responsible for the safe keeping of the items until collection or return to us.

Because some of our crockery is delicate, old and therefore more fragile it may damage more easily than new. It is not dishwasher safe. Care is required when handling or packaging. If you do not have the facilities to wash the items after use, or do not want to, then we will do that for you at a charge of 20% total  hire charge. We would be grateful however if all remaining food is removed. Please let us know before final payment if you require this service.

"Lavender and Lace" cannot accept responsibility for any damage or injury caused by the items which are under the hirer's responsibility, or any liability  for any claims that come about from any event concerning or involving items hired by us.

The hire period will normally be 3 days: delivery date, event date and collection date. If the 3 day hire period is not adhered to, without prior notice, there will be an added charge of £25.00 for part or full day.

Payment and Deposit

A 20% non refundable hire deposit will be required on the date of booking. The balance can either be paid by cheque 4 weeks in advance of the hire date, or by cash on the day of hire.

Indemnity charge (breakages / loss)

The indemnity charge is dependent on the number of items required and would be payable by cheque when the final balance had been paid; or in cash on the day of delivery; items will not be released without this payment. The amount will be agreed when an order is placed and accepted. This charge will be refunded when the hired items are collected and found to be undamaged. Any damaged items will be charged accordingly and the amount deducted.

If a cancellation is made, we will need to be informed at least one month prior to the date of hire. We will accept a telephone cancellation, followed by a written one. Voicemail or text will not be acceptable. There will be a charge for any cancellation given less than one month prior to the hire date.

In the event of us being unable to deliver the service, due to situations beyond our control, a full refund  would be made with no additional  cost to the supplier.

We would like to know what type of event "Lavender and Lace" will be participating in. It will be something special to you and therefore special to us. We will make sure that whatever the celebration our best "Old Crocks"  will help make the day. Our china has been used at some wonderful venues including No.1 Mayfair, Wiltons Music Hall and some gracious hotels. It has also helped make some beautiful "Marquee" weddings extra special occasions.
